gday guys im trying to figure out what springs i have on my swb vitara. on the back it has stock springs and shock but on the front it has king spring and "KYB" struts. the model number for the king springs is KSFR-14 and in the king sping catalog online it says they are a lifted spring but the car sits level, infact the rear is 10mm higher. so could someone running a king spring lift take a look at there springs and see if they have the same model number on them or does anyone have any idea why it's like this? thanks alex |

kings normally only lift about 30mm. if your vit had a sagged front end, it may have only brought it back up to standard. if you have any form of extra weight on the front, and that will affect the height as well. other than that, i'm not sure. post some pics maybe? pull a rear shock off and measure it? if they are standard rear shocks, there is no way that the rear is lifted more than an inch. std shocks are short. |

yeh im going to have a really good look at it next week when i get back for a camping trip. i'll also try and get hold of the last owner and see if he can shed some light although he seems pretty vague. im thinking of getting 30mm coil spacers and commodore shocks in the rear and 15mm spacers (30mm lift) for the front and flipping the strut mound. any tips or problems i may run into? |

Even though the front end is supposed to be a 2:1 ratio, it usually doesn't happen. I suggest that you use a 20 mm spacer for the front. |

hey guys i got some coil spacers and commodore shocks. can someone please explain exactly how to put coil spacer above the bumpstop/spring locator or whatever its called. how are they attached or do they just stay in from spring pressure? thanks alex |

all done how. for others future reference the spring seat slides down over the bump stop to remove, it appeared to be lightly glued or just wedged in there, fairly easy job |
