hey guys
got a kit to rebuild my carby (1990 suzuki sierra) but i stuffed that bakealight heat seal thingy that stops the engin heat getting into the top section of the carby.. does anyone know the bit i mean? ive been looking around on the net trying to find out what there called?

carby to inlet manifold gasket, carby shops would have them for like $5 at most

You mean the red plastic piece thats's about 12mm thick? If so, they call the a phenolic spacer.

If you can't find one in AU, gimme a PM and I will send you a spare I have here.

thanks guys, went into a carby shop today with my carby and aparently the bit i stuffed they dont sell, he said when ever he wreaks one he's gota get a carby from the wreakers and get the part out... thanks for the help though

Do you have a double barrel carb? if so I think I have one here. Seriously you can have it if you need it. How big of a hurry are you in, is it your daily?
