I've recently put my 33" Mickey T's on with only a Calmini 5" suspension lift and want to avoid installing my 3" body I have sitting here. So the next thing I plan on doing is chopping and some hammering. I know I'm going to have to test my flex and cut to suit, but does anyone know of any threads someone may have already posting showing some of the cutting they have done to suit similar to my situation? Thanks in advance. |

Cheers, just had a nice read over his build thread, some nice work on his. Ye like ben said, in the garage shes fine, when flexed up its a good couple of inches rubbing, even the rear, until I cut / hammer back those seam parts that come down |

is it rubbing on the top or just on the fire wall? if its just on the fire wall you should be able to move you diff fowards an inch to stop it? |

i bought a drover years ago with 32s and a 5" calmini lift and also 3" body lift. the firewall near the floor pan had a lot cut out of it, and a new bit of firewall and floorpan welded in and the 32s still rubbed the firewall a little. because of the shackle reversal the wheel moves back when the suspension compresses. |

thats what i did with my LWB and it drives and flexes fine. a little bit of a bumpstop extension and 33s would fit fine.

If QLD transport allow link and coilover conversions here ( approved by engineer) the surely WA do aswell. |

Rubs so hard on the fire wall at the moment I haven't been able to get it high enough to test if it rubs on the top
P.S. Ive got to admit I don't know what coilovers are, sounds expensive though. |

Ive got to admit I don't know what coilovers are, sounds expensive though. fit 2 inch body lift and u might have solved most of your probs .. i will soon be running 2 inch body lift .. .. atm got EFS 65 mil springs and 2 inch shakles .. 33s might fit soon ish

You may aswell move your front diff forward well your at it, may mean less cutting/bashing of your footwell/firewall. 40mm or 50mm of extra room is better than a kick in the ass... |
