ok i fitted some vit 1.6 lwb front brakes to my maruti and have tried several ways to bleed them but im still not getting a good brake peddle and yes ive bleed them in a way that puts the nipple to the top to fill the calliper piston  now my brakes were really shot when i replaced them. now im wondering if its the master cyl any ideas on how to tell or tests cheers wayne

My master cylinder was rooted when I did the swap, same symptom. I kept getting a lot of bubbles back through the master, it just wouldt bleed up properly.

looks like mine is doing the same thing. any one know if the 1.3 boosted master cyl will fit on my 1ltr non boosted maybe with a push rod change?

When I put mine on, all I did was put them in place, bled them, and had little peddle, less than before, so, do the reverse brake thing.

The rear drums are self adjusting, can't manually adjust them easily, an its said to go in reverse, and hit, stab, the brakes, this adjusts the rears, if there is any adjustment left. Took me a lot of start stops to get them good, well, better. can't remember, a dozen start stops. I recon as I need new drums and pads, but tossing up on the idea of Joes disc set up. They work fine, but could be better.

Have a go at that, it will help, no major wow factor is going to happen, but it will improve the peddle feel.

The 1.3 master cyl won't fit your maruti. The firewall is substantially different. Easiest way to get it to fit is to chop the section of the firewall needed out of a 1.3 wreck and cut/shunt it into your maruti.

A new 1.0 genuine maruti master cyl can be had from suzistore for ~$250.
