Post subject:  Vit Brakes to Sierra Q's

Hey guys

Finished fitting up the 97 LWB vitara rotors and calipers to my Sierra today and have struck a problem

The hump/bowl/piston housing??? the round bit on the back of the caliper where the hose and bleeder nipple screw in, As the piston is pushed out when th brake is applied the bottom of the round bit hits on the top of the outer two king pin bolts

Hope i explained that bit right. Will get pics if needed

Anyway Has anyone else had this problem or have i just done a shit job of putting the calipers on?

Any help or advice would be great

97 LWB Vitara, could be a SV620, these are larger again than the SE416 LWB

Brakes came off the same car my 1.6L came out of so they are not the 2L brakes

Bought the whole car to get the motor and bits i wanted for the conversion.

Should also add that the pads only have about 4mm maybe 5mm left on them so the caliper is sliding a long way and it only just touches the top of the bolts.

Stick new pad's in em...

I wondered about this, looking at the caliper with new pad's & thinking they may interfere on dead pad's..

bendix do a nice 4wd pad for em, highly recommend em...
