in an effort to upgrade my interior on a 0 dollar budget im gona put my vitara seats into my sierra. (front seats) but as mostg of you can imagine the different hights of the vitara rails creates quite a problem when trying to put it into the flat floor of the sierra. *sigh* has any one done this???

IMO the vit seat is fucking terrible. Throw that shit in the bin, and go to the wreckers and find something that won't give you permanent spinal injury.

Have put a set of sv620 seats in before, same design,,,,,, alot,alot,alot of work,,,, need to cut and weld the frame without burning the cushion, attach brackets to mount the sj runners... Not the most legal thing to do, The ones I fitted went into an unlicenced mustering vehicle and wouldnt want to do it again in a hurry.

i put ford laser seats in mine just bolted sierra rails to laser seats and bolt to the floor

Well - I have a number of reasons for doing it - I already have the seats - It's my lady's car and she is small and likes them - I am putting in whole new pans to get rid of the termites so have to rebuild the seat mounts anyway - I love a challenge - may get an exempt from engineering as the nearest guy was over 350 kms away and is about to or has retired - Tony
