I've got a cressida box in my sierra with an ea falcon tear drop pump. when you turn the steering, and let it go, the pump sounds like its loaded up. when you move the wheel a fraction either way noise goes. so whenever you stop and let it idle, you always have to move the wheel so it's not loading up.
The lines get really hot even after a minute. when driving after about 40mins it starts getting really loud all the time. tried another pump, same prob. it runs a small cooler under radiator.

Oil level obviously right? Bled properly? What oil are you using? Have you tried removing the steering damper?

Relief valve should be in the pump
