Hey guys, just wondering if they made 96 hard tops? I've finally made up my mind and want a hard top coil sierra, but I can't find any! I'm not wanting to put a nigger engine in anymore, just change three ratio's in the transfer case, lift it and put bigger muddies on it. Dave |

Yes they did make the coily's in hardtops. Coily's can be rare to find at times as they were the last of the sierra's. The transfer will have to be swapped from a leafy cousin if you want aftermarket gears. 2" suspension lift is off the shelf avaliable and same as 2" Bodylift. Depending on size tyres, Different transfer ratios suit different size tyres. Don't forget about whats legal in your state, if you care... Lowrange.com is a main source for sierra parts for gearing and etc.(not so much off shelf parts for coilys as nothing(much) fits them as they are a 'unique' suzuki, and usa didnt get them) BYE products do bodylifts, in the business section on here. Suspension lifts, Not too sure, there are a few brands including ebay sellers. |

also, if you're worried about the typo in your first post, you can edit it out with the edit button, rather than just posting again underneath with the correction. I laughed though, I was like what kind of engine is that... Thought it was slang for a 20v 4age or something... |

Do they have a solid front axle? |

Yes, but they are different to leafy sierra's so can't put upgraded cv's/axels or lokka's in them |

Sure did! The red one used to belong to a mate, while I like the look of the white one. For a Moderate daily driver, there's nothing really wrong with a coily. |

Sounds like you need a vitara. Drive a coil sierra, then drive a vitara. I'd be surprised if you still want a coiler. They are more comfortable than a leaf sierra, but they are still a sierra which means they're no great shakes on road. The reason to own a sierra is that they're rugged, cheap and easy to upgrade for off road work. A coiler isn't any of those things, so your just left with a utilitarian vehicle that doesn't ride or handle very well. Just my 2C. |
