Post subject:  New Clutch Advice for a Coily

Hi All,

I Have a coily Running 30" Tyres, last weekend the old standard clutch had it last days off road.

I would like same advice on what other trucks are running, I would like to put a heavy duty clutch in if possible.

What is a good brand and where is the best place to purchase from? I have a coily too not sure if that limits my clutch options or not.

Cheers

the bear

Just get a standard Exedy, no real need for a HD IMO

sandard one is fine for standard motor. my twin cam would spin the clutch on the beach but stock motor should be fine

New clutch and machined flywheel? Is the engine modified? I would've thought it would work ok....

it was about 15000km old she spun. gti clutch is nothing special but must have more clamping power. think about it its like 50% more power

Yeah but an Exedy standard clutch is miles ahead of the OEM clutch, so it should still work. I reccon you just don't know how to drive :thefinger:

My coily is also running 30's. I put an Exedy clutch into it when it's clutch wore out. If you haven't done it already, I would put a leafy transfer into it to fix your ratios. Takes a lot of load off the clutch and makes it also more driveable.

Only have a standard old 1.3.
Have brought another case from jas and I am saving up for the gear reduction from low range.

Standard Excedy sounds like the go!

thanks gays
