Hey guys,

Went out to Dargo for Easter and broke a couple of tranny case mounts. Just wonderin if there's better mounts out there that are suitable?

Whilst it's far from impossible to break mounts, it's worth making sure you're not starting from behind the eight ball - do the mounts that have broken have a bridgestone B on them?

There's some knockoff mounts going around and they break if you look at them funny.

I agree that upgraded through-bolted mount are a good idea, as is a transfer lift.

They're new mounts I bought from Suzistore. Can't see a B on them. Thanks for the help guys, looks like there's a few options!

That's interesting. We've had a few guys in the club source mounts that have been non genuine and they generally haven't lasted a day. The genuine mounts will take some hideous abuse - normally the transfer arms bend well before the mounts break.

Not that an upgrade isn't a bad idea, just an observation.

Steve.

This would be useful as we need a couple for tonka.

No, I don't, but they might be worth pricing from a dealer - at least you know they'd be genuine*, and not all parts pricing is that bad.

*I guess there's a risk they'd be from Maruti, and might not be to Japanese spec.

Trail tough might be a source - they carry lots of OEM suzuki parts, but the shipping is the problem as TT only ship UPS.

Totally agree with you here!! The suzistore/suzisports ones ive had were all aftermarket and just fell apart. Heck one of the old genuine mounts had wayyy more bonding strength then 2 of the new put together!
