Post subject:  Steering box- how much oil?

Fitted a new non stuffed steering box and I has no oil in it.

How much do I put in there? Or just fill it up?

I assume it takes a oil similar to diff oil? Or just diff oil?

Cheers. Did search but to no answer to my question.

did mine today, previously filled with VMX80, draining next weekend and going a molly/graphite grease with moreys..

* a bearing grease will break down and seperate into two parts, the
oil sinking to the bottom of the box and the crud sticking to the top

Mines filled with moly grease. Much easier to do this before the box is fitted tho.
