hey all got a 99 jimny and i am having problems with the speedo. from 0 to say 70 its fine after that it gets really jumpy and wont give a accurate speed. any one know what the problem might be? also the gear box is a automatic when changing back to first gear when slowing down and coming to a stop it clunks back into first and jolts the whole car. any ideas. any help would be great. |

how long ago was the oil changed in the auto box?? and speedo sensor on it way out? or loose?? |

umm not sure got it off my parents so im guessing ill do a filter and oil change on it and see how it goes. where is the speedo sensor on these? |

if its an auto you should have a deep stick to measure the level of gearbox oil. Have a check, it might have being running low for a while that happen to me years ago back home when I used to have a chevrolet blazer and I end up almost destroying a couple of gears
