hey all got a 99 jimny and i am having problems with the speedo. from 0 to say 70 its fine after that it gets really jumpy and wont give a accurate speed. any one know what the problem might be? also the gear box is a automatic when changing back to first gear when slowing down and coming to a stop it clunks back into first and jolts the whole car. any ideas. any help would be great.

how long ago was the oil changed in the auto box??

and speedo sensor on it way out? or loose??

umm not sure got it off my parents so im guessing ill do a filter and oil change on it and see how it goes. where is the speedo sensor on these?

if its an auto you should have a deep stick to measure the level of gearbox oil. Have a check, it might have being running low for a while

that happen to me years ago back home when I used to have a chevrolet blazer and I end up almost destroying a couple of gears
