Just wondering I broke a cv in my 92 sierra the other day and just wondering what I should do. Replace with a standard cv or pay extra for chromoly cvs and also will I have to change my lock right if I choose chromoly??? |

If its a front lockright then yes you will have to change it to a rear one or change the side gears to 26 spline To take the cromolys |

While cromo's are very nice, and I am not saying I would not like a set, they are also quite expensive, especially when you factor in the cost of a new locker as well. A lot of people carry on about standard cv's are useless if you have a front locker but I have been getting very good life our of mine and i have a lockrite and 34in jungle trekkers. If you are sensible behind the wheel then IMHO they are fine but if you love to assault the right pedal then get cromo's and hope your crown wheel can take the beating. |
