When driving my Sierra today it developed a prob that comes and goes. Sometimes when when I pit the clutch in the whole car vibrates and continues after the clutch is out and vibrates when I accelerate. This prob comes and goes. Please all help welcome. Cause if not sorted I'm going to a pootrol.

sounds like uni joints to me, I had same problem

Jump under the car and see how much play is in them, should be no more than half a mm

Shouldn't the vibration be there all the time?

no because sometimes the uni/drive shaft runs in line so to speak but once you change the load on it because there is play in the uni it becomes out of balance.

That's how I reasoned it anyway

Just another quick question. Should the front drive shaft turn while on 2wd when moving is this the wind turning it.

In 2wd, with the hubs set to free, the front shaft should spin freely. If it doesn't then one or both of the hubs are holding on.
