i think 33 are too big what other than that what soze and what type of tyre i8s the best i got told 33 silverstones cause the 33 is actually a 32 or somethink just want to clarify thx

How have you achieved your 6" of lift?
33 inch silvestones are a great tyre, but anything that size is woeful to drive if you don't do some gearing reduction to to with itl.

I'm running 33's on a 5 inch lift, by 2" extended shackles and 3" lifted springs.

Unless I do a RUF, move my diffs forward/backward and hammer in my firewall I'm going to have to do some cutting.

I'm going with the cutting at this stage + extended bump stops to try a different end result to others

The other thing you have to watch with 33's is they're not to wide, I've got 33x12.5s which rub on my springs on full lock (in a W/T model). 1 to 2 inch wheel spacers could 'maybe' fix this

Like the above posts though, depends how you achieved the 6" and dont expect to be able to 4wd with 33's until u get reduction gears

yeah more glasshouse so i guess mud and rock i have 2 inch body 2 inch spring and 2 inch extended shackles ute conversion wt if that heps at all maybe suggest a 32 super swamper or somethink maybe i dont no i dont want to have to do mega cutting and shit and i wont do gearing for a fair while so maybe even 31 silverstones ??

naaa mate blue withy wince no internal cage just tray and profesionaly choped good deal for 2k also has rear locker and lift led lights and racing seats only thing i need is a carby was going untill i stuffed carby lol

Mmmmmmm glasshouse+31's-33's on stock gearing = replacement clutches and minimal vehicle control resulting in possible rolling if you do any descent tracks bar flat fire trails and lil mud puddles....

31s on stock gearing will be a dog to drive, bigger will be worse...

If you wanna go big tyres you gotta fix the gearing. Otherwise there is just no point. Do it properly, or don't bother, you'll make it worse, not better...

Transfer gears are probably 500-700 dpending on ratios from somewhere like lowrange but I haven't checked lately. Either 4.9:1 or 6.5:1 for 31s, definitely 6.5:1 if you want to go bigger.

ok well im gonna go a 31 silverstone extreme and if i have problems ill get better ratsio diffs would that be better and if thats not good then rock crawler gears 4.9 1 cause i got told 6:5:1 goes way to slow if ya havet got a decent engin i only have a 1.3l if i went 6:5:1 i may need a 1.6l to spin tyres better i dont no off my head just what i have herd

Thats backwards mate.
The 6.5:1 gearing makes it easier for an inferior engine to turn the tyres.
In effect, you get more torque to the wheels.

31's are still large enough to require gearing. Even 29's are pushing it.

well these seem reletivly cheap are they easy or real hard to install or can you get someone to install for you if so how much oh and is it ok to have 6:5:1 with 31 inch tyres sorry for all the questions just dont want to get it wrong oh and thanks everyone for your help.

Yes same car. Can I ask how much wheeling experience you actually have in this vehicle before you go diving into all these mods with a fist full of cash?

Same car different name in the US.
also, you have 5" of lift. 2" extended shackles only equal 1" lift. I'd remove them, and run 31's. RUF the front and get 6.5 transfer gears if you're keeping the 1.3 carb and doing lots of Rock and stuff.

i use to drive a gq compititsion car sold it bought a skyline missed 4wdriving so i got a zook never went weeling yet but i herd there a perfect lil car for 2 people to have some fun in want it pretty much readdy before i go out breaking stuff and i have done serious 4wdriving before i dont want to have to start doing the easyest tracks and not have any fun at all yeah ill get use to it before i go hard but easy is just boring

ruf how is it a huge advantage brings the diff forward 1 inch give a bit more travel im not saying its shit im saying it looks kinda hard lol but i guess i can do it do ya need extended shackles with ruf or standard.

Massively greater wheel travel, smoother ride.
Im no fabricator but I'm going to have a go, and feel confident so can't be too bad!
If you do a proper chassis extension you maintain standard shackles.

i alreddy have 2 inch lifted shocks and i have 2 inch lifted patrol shocks is it a bad idea putting gq patrol shocks in a sierra cause they fit and alland 2 inch gq is a 4 to 5 inch lift in a sierra right >??

I don't think you understand what RUF is, sorry if you do.

RUF, Rear Up Front. The stock suzi front springs are quite short, the rears are longer, and a very popular mod is to get a set of rear springs, and move them up front, throw away the stock shorties.

This will give u a few things, softer ride, more wheel travel/articulation, and by moving the front diff forward it will allow bigger tyres without having to beat in the firewall zone so as to turn the bugger.

Two inch is two inch.
The gq shocks are valves for a heavy 4wd so on your light Sierra will have a dreadful ride. You may also find the larger bore shocks will foul on things during full articulation MAYBE

oh ruf i diddent really understand it but when i do ruf is it like putting a 2 inch spring lift in the front and how many leafs should i have in it do ya think its aa ideal thing to do when ya have brand new 2 inch lift king springs in front and rear lol
