I have a g16b vitara motor and I have turboed my motor and run aftermarket ecu and run a dizzy not coil packs like some of the balenos do. My question is what is better dizzy or coil packs. and what's the pros and cons.

1 coil driving 4 spark plugs against 1 coil driving 1 spark plug.

Dwell time is huge on a coil pack, thats why most go for it, tho, unless you are chasing the ultimate power, I would not bother, go for something less expensive like an MSD ignition module.

I love MSD, cannot praise them high enuf.

Many here will say don't bother doing anything at all to the ignition side.

the advantage to a dizzy in a turbo car is you can regraph the dizzy with relative ease in comparisson to a coilpack setup and ecu.

in ingnition terms a coil pack setup is probably better.

me I'd go a dizzy for the reason above JMO

If you ECU can control the ignition setup then run coil packs. You can change your ignition timing and setings (dwell etc) isntantly. Problably more usefull if you know what your doing tuning cars though.

most important question is why are you looking to change it?

Some of us just love tinkering with donks, trying to squeeze an eztra horse out of it, even when we are totally happy, we think, hmmm, may try a bigger MSD module, may try some of these Pulse plugs, may try octane boost and rejet, retune etc etc etc.

I know, im one

I am tinkerer by nature too. if it can be fiddled with (even if it shouldn't), I am gonna' fiddle with it.

Were you the type of kid who took apart his mechanical toys, and never put them back together right?

I think that is a suzuki owner trait
I seem to spend plenty of my time putting together things that got pulled apart by others
