Hey guys got my airlocker and cromoly axles yesterday (well actualy half of the cromolys )
just wondering how hard it is to fit the locker, I am very mechanical minded
And can do it if I put my mind to it.
I guess it will be easy to follow the instructions.
Or should I leave it up to the pro's
I don't really like the idea paying a mechanic to do some thing I might be able to do
Cheers

i think its just a case of warranty, if you fit it, and something goes wrong, there's no warranty involved. 99% sure this is the case

i personally would get them to do it, knowing i could probably fit it myself, but i'd be kicking myself if something went wrong with it and had to fix it myself. how much do they want to fit it?

If you buy a diff rebuild kit from lowrange offroad
I can rebuild your diff and install the air locker to your centre for $300
You R&R the diff centre and fit the compressor and air line
I've worked as a Suzuki mechanic, arb and as a heavy vehicle mechanic with 10yrs exp
I've done diffs for plenty of Auszookers members and never had any complaints and I've been recommended by other members.
I rebuilt the rear air locker in team tough turtle that entered in tuff truck this year without failure.
Pm me if your interested

Not sure how much havnt ask yet
But it's arb we are talking about
This is why I got my locker from the states not here in aus
Not even sure if they will fit it since I didn't buy it of them but they should
I might just get them to fit it
Does any one know how much it cost before I ring them
It's a couple hundred dollars if they had to pull the shafts nd center out of the diff them selfs I'm guessing
But I'll just take the center into arb

last time i checked ARB wants $383 for fitting (2yrs ago) and that's just fitting the locker... not rebuilding the diff & fitting the locker as quoted by oozuk

If the diff pinion bearings and pinion seal haven't been replaced then in my opnion that diff has not been rebuilt, but if your only wanting to have the air locker installed I at least ask that you have fresh carrier bearing fitted to the air locker.

And usually 9 times out of 10 the old carrier bearings can get damaged when pulled off the old carrier, that's why I say at a minimum to do the carrier bearings.

Yeah the pinion crush tube as there single use
Low range off road do a kit where you get pinion and carrier bearings, pinion seal, crush tube, new pinion nut, liquid sealant for installation and diff setup paint.
Your best to get that in one go from lowrange as it will be heaps cheaper from them than any one else.
