Hi guys it probably has been discussed before, i was wondering if the RockyRoad RUF kit was any good instead of doing a chassis extension. it will cost me $75+$100USD delivery, if anyone makes these bolt on kits in Australia please let me know. I might even try and make some myself surely it cant be that hard!

Rockyroad don't use enough bolts but! 
Seems pretty strong the way I've done it. I haven't jumped it, but it has done a few hundred kays of fast hard corrugations with some big bumpstop slapping bottom outs at 100kph without any dramas. |

Rocky Road can be unreliable with waiting times.. This kit puts diff in original location.(unsure if you are after that or not) |

but as bluesuzy said, it puts your diff in the std position?!?! is that what you want?? I have seen this kit twice, 1 spoa, 1 spua. Both worked fine with 31's. But larger, you will get firewall clearance drama's. It actually moves your diff back and you have to redrill your diff forward to get the stock position back. So moving it another 25mm forward for firewall clearance is out of the question. Next option is cutting the firewall/floor. Easy to make yourself also. But bolt-on, i wouldnt be happy with it. |

might as well flip and weld. I think alex had something in his build up thread. easy to do and will look like it belongs if its done well. |

Take a look at the "YJ relocation plates", or "RUF relocation plate diagram" the yank forums. If you don't want to hit the yank forums, google will give you a good drawing with measurements. Cut them out, then stack them together and drill. This is one time DIY is just as good, and less expensive. I know trail tough is more expensive, but their parts rock for RUF, and YJ. You get what you pay for rings true with these guys, they make some seriously sturdy, safe parts. |

Yeah it is disapointing to me how this has got around, it is a method that I have been using since around 1990, because of how it is done it is not easily recognised as being any difference from original. When he was seeking info about how people do their RUF's (and getting some bad advice) I told him about this method and gave him the measurements I actually asked him not to spread it around because I wanted it to remain fairly stealth. He chose to ignore that request and posted pics of it on an open forum for all to see, which is why I am now reluctant to share that kind of information. The more widely spread it is the less stealth it becomes. I know traffic coppers and qld transport inspectors trawl the forums building on their knowledge to help them on the job, pictures spell a thousand words and when you start saying "the cops won't even know when you do it this way" it is just challenging them to have a good look under the front of every Suzuki they pull over. |

) for the Aussie market?the problem is the different length of rear springs that people will use. So every kit needs to be made to each spring. The only way he will do them is if he supplies the springs, that way the shackle angle will be right and people won't think he made a shit product. |
