Hey just finished my conversion into a sj70. Story is had it running but it was running like a pig turns out cyl 4 rings were all stuck with carbon. So after a quick rebuild it now wont start. It has neither spark no injection pulse. All fuses are good and ecu is up and running. However if I have the dizzy loose in my hand I can spin the rotor and can get some spark and fuel it is intermittent though. My question is, do the red and green wires on the cas have a polarity? My unserstanding is that the sensor is generating an ac current so polarity shouldn't matter ? I only ask this as during the rebuild I snapped one of the wires near the connector and have since joined them back together.
Thanks in advance
Jonny

check that you have re attached the ecu earths to the back of the intake manafold

CAS does in effect have a polarity. The way it connects up alters the polarity of the incoming waveforms form the sensor. It is also most likely that one wire is grounded within the ecu, thus if its connected the wrong way it will not show a signal at all. This could be the reason why you are able to see injector/ignition pulses without the dizzy mounted.
