Gday lads
ive just bought a set of 2'' ome dakar leafs for my zook and i noticed when i put them on my bench that one of the fronts has more bend than the other, is this because of the 'sierra lean' or have they given me a dud.

PS the rears have the same amount of bend.

cheers

I have spoken to ARB about this and they claim it's not to accomodate for the Sierra lean.
You may have noticed that some springs have a + and some a -.
This mark is to say if it's more or less lift over the 1.5".

One of my front springs had a + and both rears had a - the other front had nothing from memory.

I got 4 rears last week all with the + I assumed the plus minus was to accomidate the sierra lean :)

It makes sense. I know they list two front springs and one rear in both medium and constant load.
I can't see any other reason why they would have two different front spring.

It would make more sense that there was a specific drivers side spring and that they were still marked -/+

I just bought new fronts and rears. Both fronts had a + but one had a larger arch to counter the lean, different part numbers too. Rears I had 1 of each - and + and they had the identical arch and was told the + is to go on the drivers side.

It sits perfect and rides amazing, for a Sierra anyway.

I assume the bigger arch spring is for the driver side front to counter the weigh for the driver when they get in not for the Sierra lean

The guy at Maroochydore ARB told me there is a '+' or '-' or '0' stamped on their springs indicating whether they are above, below or spot on specification.

He also said that they try to supply two different ones to combat the sierra lean, i.e. a plus in the drivers side and a minus in the passenger etc

^^^ that's it!
It's just convenient to use the higher cambered spring on the drivers side.
