Did a compression test today (wanna know the reason for blue smoke), wasnt good. 155psi on 1 and 2 and 160psi on 3 and 4. So should i pull it out strip it down and rebuild it or strip down and rebuild the g13bb (fuel injected) i have or upgrade to somthing else. Dont care about time as its not a daily driver its just a fun car, but hase to stay legal. Its a 96 yes a coily (i like it). Any ideas or help?
when does it blow smoke? 5 psi isn't a massive difference in compression. still could be an oil ring. How did the plugs look? Really pays to diagnosis it first if your thinking of a rebuild.

on start up, after idle for a little and under load. Its only 5% between them but there still well under what they should be. Book says 170. Plus the fumes are a killer unless the top is off
Your rings are pretty much gone as the compression should be 170 in all cylinders
I would look for a g16b engine
It will be cheaper then rebuilding the g13bb(depends what you do to it.)
