How have you guys done this?

At the moment I have just tek screwed  the flare bracket to the guard. For some reason the part at the top of the bracket that the flare is supposed to clip onto is too tight up against the body. Maybe I bent the bracket somehow?

I checked JrZook's build thread and he did his a little differently. I like what he did, and this shows me how the bottom of the flare is supported, but how is the top of the flare held in?

Those pics are from JrZook's build thread. I've only started my virtual lift, I haven't got one guard finished yet.

Just remember that mine are 88.5 plastic flares and are wayyy lighter than the metal ones. With those three alloy brackets holding it on it seems to be very solid and doesnt pull away from body up the top, even with the 50mm extended flares hanging off them! One of the rears is slightly pulling away from the top now only because I rubbed it up against a bank.

ahh, ok, I have looked hard at this, and can see the rear will be somewhat easy, its the front that will take some work.

I want to make my zook look like it was built for the size tyres I want, not a small wheel arch that is much smaller in size.

Of course the added benefit is, do away with the body lift, but, that is secondary to my want.

I want my zook to be engineered, but in saying that, its of little consequence if you get pulled over all the time, because the guards are for a much smaller wheel/tyre, even tho its legal, I can do without that.

My goals are the same. I have minimal lift, big-ish tyres and no body lift.

I'll try to get some more pics up as I progress.
