I am wanting to put a beleno motor into a jimny and im just wanting to know can i use all the injection gear off of the jimny on the beleno block and head as well as the electronic dizzy off of the jimny instead on the distributor type, will it fit in the beleno head? and all comunicate with out having to chang the wiring and the computer? or should i just put the beleno bottom end with my jimny head. will this be lagy if i did this due to having 1.3 injection gear? any help would be great. |

Jimny injection will run with a 1.6 bottom end. I've driven a car that was set up this way, with the complication that this car has an AW-4 auto behind the baleno bottom end. A vitara TCC was hacked in to the jimny loom and the transmission shifts fine and the car seems to haveplenty of power. It hasn't been on a dyno so I can't confirm if the fuelling is "right" or not though. Baleno and jimny heads are identical. The easiest way would be to find a coil pack baleno motor and swap the manifolds with all the injection gear on them- then you don't have to swap heads. If you use a distributor baleno as the donor, you will have to swap to a jimny/coil pack baleno cam as the distributor drive on the back of the camshaft isn't compatible with the camshaft position sensor your jimny has. Ok mate thanks for your help. I have a auto Jimmy that is on it's way out so I am going to put the vitara auto behind it as well. I can get a distributor type engine for really really cheap so I might do that and just pit my head on the beleno bottom end. Thank |

Sure, that will work too. Bear in mind you have to pull the camshaft out to get to all the head bolts and this can be tricky/frustrating. If you plan on running an AW-4 behind the baleno bottom end, you'll need the factory service manual for both the 4 speed auto vitara and the jimny to work out how to feed the vitara TCC the right signals to get it to shift. It is possible though, and a good outcome. PS you do know you're likely to have to do transmission tunnel mods to fit the AW-4? It's much, much bigger than the Jimny auto. Also, the AW-4 is cable shifted so you'll need the shifter from the AW-4 rather than the linkage shifter from the jimny. You'll need to close out the back of the auto with either a trail tough, Joeblow, or your own blanking plate. It's easy ( you can use an off the shelf seal and bearing in the vitara transmission/transfer case adapter) but it will have to be done, and you'll need to cut down the jackshaft as the AW-4 is about 150mm longer than the Jimny auto. Since it has not been mentioned, we are assuming that you have a G13BB jimny? Otherwise everything Gwagen said is useless to you. |

x2 Series of motor was never specified! G or M? Where does the water come out on a jimny g13bb head? Intake manifold? If the Jimny/baleno heads are "exactly" the same, what did they do with the big water hole in the back? |

Suzuki put a tinplate blanking plate over the hole, with a gasket. When Mitch bought the gasket kit to assemble the hybrid motor I described above, it even included the tinplate blanking plate. Really, the heads are EXACTLY the same. Steve. |

Might be worth getting a Jimny manifold then, if injectors are swappable, or even the same, means an easy water manifold and just convert the TB. |

we had to use the intake manifold on the baleno motor, swap the dizzy out, make a new idler bracket, few other bits and pieces but a simple conversion, deffintily a noticeable power upgrade |
