I need to know the diameter of LJ80 tail lights / indicators, and also are they the same as an LJ50? and if so does anyone have any assemblies of stop/tail and indicator they'd like to offload to me? Are the park lamp assemblies in the front the same diameter as the rear lights? Cheers, Simon. |

All the LJ lamps have the same body size of 78mm. The Indicator and Park lights have the same body with different lenses, while the Stop/Tail has the same body with a different bulb socket. LJ80 have 2 screws securing the lens to the body and the lamp to the vehicle. Late LJ50 are identical, but the Early ones used 3 screws and are not interchangeable. |

Thanks very much 303zuke, the exact explanation I was looking for. Now to find someone who's wrecking an LJ and has complete light assemblies still. The amber and clear lenses are still available new, so it's only the tail/stop assemblies to keep an eye for I guess. Hella make some lights of similar vintage, but are 83mm in diameter, still could be used though. Cheers, Simon. |

There are aftermarket versions available from Indonesia, but as the Seller so honestly says: "Aftermarket Parts ..... Not as good as the genuine."! |
