They're fine. Same as any other sierra.
They were not manufactured and sold in high numbers, and thats why you don't see many.

I was going to say that they fall over easily, but that's probably no different to any other Sierra

I was also wondering about the roof rack posibilities , probably have to mod one up,
could be more head room in the back if you did want anyone to come with you anywhere, or more space with seats out.
Functionally they dont seem to bad?

I really don't understand why people say this. I owned one for about 12 months before the cancer killed it, and it was fine. There is maybe 10kg more metal in the roof so that would make sweet FA difference IMO.
The worst thing about high tops is that they are NT's. The could really benifit from WT diffs and spring spacings, same as any NT sierra.

Unlikely. Not sure the high tops were ever sold in the US. They had enough trouble keeping the soft tops upright.
It was a Japanese trend in the 80's. They even made hightop patrols (GQ).

I DO think they are less stable. It is only a small amount of weight, but get it moving (like when bouncing or rocking from one rut to another) and it becomes is a fair amount of inertia in exactly the wrong spot.
AJSR's car is pretty stable, but it's also very wide and he seems to be able to drive lines at 20km/h that I'd roll on stationary
Steve.
PS Fatzook - they DID sell WT Hightops, but like LWB WT's, only in NSW, and I think only in 1988. I had an overlander magazine from 1988 where they test drove a WT hightop.
I have no idea how many were sold - it can't have been many.

They hi tops are a little unstable if u treat them Like a soft top, mine was absaloutly shocking stock as a rock with all Narrow track running gear she had some bad ass body roll, but with 6" of lift wide track diffs and extra stance of the f100 mags and 2" wheel spacers, and 32"s ,surprisingly is a hell of alot better to drive.
As for visual, I saw kermy/grey full of cancer piece of shit out the wreckers ,, and thought who the fuck would drive that,?? but for $300, I saw potential, I still think they are ugly as fuck but I'm a tall Mofo who needs head room, so I luv em

There's heaps of those GQ high roofs around here.
A mate of mine has a Subaru Leone high roof wagon.
