Idle up solinoid is on the front of the carb. It runs a vacuum pot with a long linkage to the throttle shaft. Have someone turn the fan on whilst you are watching the linkages. You will see the setscrew and turn this out until idle drops to around 1000rpm.

Yes only adjust the idle up when the car is running so you can get it to the preffered rpm. When your acc.- blower, lights Are switched off the idle will return to normal idle rpm (800rpm)
