I gotta give my heaterbox a clean out. Seems to work fine but no force to the air coming out. How do you take out the dash? I don't want to fully pull it out - just enough to access the airbox? |

pull the steel bar thingo that runs along the bottom of the dash out from the engine bay side you need to pull the heater hoses off where they go into the firewall along with the nut beside it then pull the control cables off the bottom of the heater box and see if thats enough to wiggle it out to where you can get at it otherwise pull the column out, speedo out, stereo out, then the screws along the top of the dash |

Or take the easy option. http://www2.izook.com/?page_id=258 When i did mine i got a rubber floor plug from the wreckers to plug the hole when i was done so now i can just pull the plug and clean it whenever. |

That was a shitty job, but at least I got a demister now Didn't help to have an air con box to make it all 10x trickier |

Question? - if this was blocked up could it stop the hot from working? Or may that be blocked up somewhere else :/. |

yeah thats exactly what happens, because sierras only heat through floor and demist settings the heater core is at the base of the air intake plenum, it fills with leaves and blocks any air passing through it to heat |
