hi guys. been looking on here but the search function brings up heaps of stuff and cant find what i want. i wanna find out the rough cost of engine conversions. is the g13b alot more powerful than the g13a? how much is the motor worth and what g13a parts go on like gearbox and clutch and stuff? is there a conversion kit if it doesnt fit up easily? same questions for g16a and g16b and 4age lol thanks guys |

Look HEREfor a 1600 adapter kit. Your best bet is to find a whole vitara, remove engine, ecu, loom, maybe power steer if you need it. Then you can possibly make a little bit of coin back on parts. You might pick one up for $1000-$2000. Then you will need the engine mod plate of course. |

G13b is complete bolt over however u need a gear drive for dissy, mk1 is the easy swap as the ecu only runs injection system mainly. Heaps more power then standard n a limiter of 7900rpm lots of rev, n they love it just ask cuzz.. Engines range in prices but round 500 would get u 1 easy. Check johno_racing page for exact list on how to do it. In my opinion gti g13b is the way to go.. Mine an cuzz's pull hard right through the rev range n they love it |

Hey man, I've been doing a bit of research myself and while I haven't been looking at the G13b (gti motor) I've got a rough idea of each. As far as I can tell they go in order of cheapest and easiest conversion being the least powerful to most expensive, most work and most powerful. Stock motor G13BA Carby 1.3 G16A (Carby 1.6) G13BB MPFI 1.3 G16B MPFI 1.6 4AGE Redtop (RWD 4AGE 1.6) 4AGE Silvertop or Blacktop (FWD 4AGE 1.6) 4AGZE Supercharged 4AGE 1.6 The G16 conversions require an adapter to fit to the standard 1.3 block, if you get a Baleno G16B there are some extra small issues depending on whether you get a dizzy or coil pack motor. The 4AGE conversions require a LOT more work including moving the transfer case. |

to fit a 4age in, you will need new engine mounts, gear box mount / cross member ( if you have a 1L) and transfer mounts. The transfer moves back about 100mm. The jack shaft will be about the size of 2 unis end to end. You will need drive shafts to be lengthened and shortened. then there is wiring.... You will also have some clearance problems with the sump. It is in reverse compared to a sierra motor and will be nearly on top of the diff. It is a lot of work but it is probably the most powerful 1.6l motor you can get. I chose to go with a 4age because the one i found was already fully rebuilt and came with the t50 gearbox, transfer, wiring etc (it was in another sierra). |

i will add i have argued the points on here 50 or so times. so thats all i have to say. if you do go mk1 gti give me a pm and i will build you a dizzy adaptor, with that you should be able to do the whole conversion in a day. |

Go the g16b. It's the best bang for buck conversion and most suited to an off roader... |

Jimny (g13bb) is easier, but not better. Just throw a G16B in, or if you want to be different go 4agze. |
