I have a tyre dillema at the moment, i have a set of 34x11.5 jungle trekkers and a set of 33x14.5 boggers and i cant decide which set to keep/use. :? My sierra has a tendancy to lay over so i am looking for some extra width (already have wheel spacers) but is the extra width of the boggers worth the reduction in size. Jungle trekkers are very close to a 35 so there is about 16mm differance in the pumpkin clearance between the two tyres. Was gonna tag this onto the other tyre thread at the moment but i didnt want to hijack.

Treps in 35 are the crappy radial pattern

Fuck you come up with some crapp sometimes alien.
Have you used either tyre? I bet not
They are both great mud tyre but really would req very low pressure to get the best from them
Neither are really rock tyres but I've seen tough trucks with boggers in the past so they must work ok
Maybe you should get kuhmo like alien

Radial Treps are shit. Dont go there.

Boggers would be my choice of the 2 mentioned. Even if they are smaller.

If your driving rocks then neither of them are really ideal.

Depends on preferred terrian etc to answer properly.

Creepys don't work so well on a lighter car. Well that was my experience.

name a better 35 tyre that you can run on the road [mine seem to go fine up aganst you]if you do get them make shore you run them at low pressure on the road to get them hot then the side walls will work fine and when off road run under 5 pound

i've used centipedes, and everyone that had run JT's wished they bought the pedes... i've also never heard a good thing about boggers.

I don't like the look of JTs.
So boggers have my vote :D

Post subject:  Re: Which tyres, jungle trekkers or boggers

i ran jt's on my old pootrol but it was a lot heavier than a zook but i found them pretty good but they might not be as good on a light car as i had to run them at around 10 psi to get them to work well

Post subject:  Re: Which tyres, jungle trekkers or boggers

my opinion is that jungle trekkers would work better on a smaller car like a zook,
i haven ran either on my own car but have worked on and been in a lot of vehicles running JTs and boggers, unless its for pure mud running with heaps of power IMO JTs would be better

JT's suck on Suzuki's down here.

I have no experience of boggers on a suzuki- the only guy I knew with boggers sold them and bought krawlers without ever running the boggers.

From what ALOT of people have told me Sticky Treps aren't all that, when compared to other stickies in the same size they rate very poorly but then again, they are one of the cheapest options.

or you can both shut the fuck up and keep your opinions to the topic at hand... just a thought.

my experience with both tyres is word of mouth, and its been negative for both. hence it has shaped my opinion of them, and hence me writing "IN MY OPINION" on the end of my comment.

Maybe sell both sets and buy some new tyres that are more suited to what you want to drive.

JT's, great with some weight and a little more horsepower.

Boggers, well, um, I guess they do looks pretty cool.

Dominator,
I have seen many cars at GH with JT's and they were all pathetic. End of story.

I have seen several cars out there on Boggers and while great in mud, loose dirt and gravel they were sad on the sandstone and wet hardpacked clay like Little Red and downright dangerous on stuff like Big Red..

I'd sell both sets and get Silverstone MT117 Extremes in a 35.

Post subject:  Re: Which tyres, jungle trekkers or boggers

Well it looks like the jury is out, guess I will have to sell them and get another set. Think I will sell the jt's to a mate who wants them and run the boggers until I can afford some other tyres.

Just out of curiosity what other stickies come in a 37" tyre ?
