Has anyone Made or Purchased a Strong Spring Pack for a LWB Sierra to carry 200kg plus load. I have a 50mm lift HD pack (4+2 leaf} on Rear with PolyAir Bags,the airbags have to at full pressure to maintain a average ride level,so need a stronger spring pack to take the stress from air bags and lift for better ride level. |

Take your car across a weighbridge. I don't want to sound like a hater, but if you are running polyairs pumped up and a 5 leaf pack, you're running way to heavy for the rest of the car's engineering. Considered a trailer or a hilux? Steve. |

1270kg with driver on weight bridge (1350kg Legal},remember its a tray back Maruti as the tray sits several inchs further back to early trays.Its to handle terrain where other 4wdr cannot go eg salt lakes. The angle drop is drivable but like to make it sit level,already done 6 trips around Australia no problems and about to do the Anne Beadell Highway so need stronger setup (also polyair setup is my own setup as I could use taller bags but prefer springs to take load} |

A spring maker could help, but I'd also consider changing to 60mm wide springs like MK patrol fronts, and stretching the wheelbase to move more weight between the axles to balance things out better. Steve |

i put 350kg in the back of mine all the time with 3" efs rears and adjustable rancho 9000 shocks |

Got a Spring Maker working out some possible solution,just hoping someone might have already found a solution or setup that could assist load capacity. As most of my driving is off road their is times where I have to cover 1200km plus between fuel stops solo so rather over kill springs than just capable ones. |

Steve I have been considering extending wheel base and wider spring setup as last resort.At present the bulk off load is above and forward of rear axle with the original tank at rear which I burn 1st. I do have a fully kitted hilux but the terrain is to soft and thick for the bigger 4wdr and the Suz (plus mates Scat} just perfect for these remote areas besides a chopper. |

Thats understandable as my maintenance is high but lot cheaper than larger vehicles such as tyres cost for a cruiser or hilux exceeds $5k plus a season where the suz with 12ply 1k average a season alone. The strain is off road use not blacktop. I have killed 2 hiluxes,1 hj47 and yet the Maruti still goes and mechanically A1 as I change all bearing,brakes etc every year religiously as its a work not play vehicle. |

I do like the idea of wider spring that's the reason I made a post to find best options. What made me go for a Maruti besides I have had a few Suzuki's was a Indian Friend who drove 1 when serving his army that had a Rocket Launcher fitted in Rear and Heavy MG in front as well as a driver carrying a payload Ammunition in very rough terrain and it was a 1tlr job |

Before the tear down I rutinely had excessive weight on my trayback sierra. I fitted 2" lifted YN65 hilux front springs in the rear. With only 3 leaves, a 250kg payload just started to sag the springs. So with a full pack 400kg should be possible. I also had to run extended shackles on the rear to get it to sit level when unladen. |

All some,I just happen too have a couple of good sets (Stock,OME & TJM} off LN65 Springs lying about, looks like busy day tomorrow

YN65 2" lifted 4wd fronts. LN65 is the deisel version and the springs will be so stiff your back end will leave the ground when you hit a bump. $50 for shackle pair ( rear only) |
