just had a look at my rear springs and theyre king springs: KSRR-15... looked up the PN and theyre 30mm lift for swb vit (mines a LWB), but doesnt look like its lifted at all...

i was gunna get kings springs (or dobinsons) very soon anyway, but now dont know whether its gunna be worth getting the fronts it if thats all the lift you get :?

what other springs could i get to acctually get near 50mm lift?
i have 2 30mm spacers i could put in the rear and maybe gv springs for the front?

need some info please, and yes ive searched extensively ;)

swb springs wont lift a lwb really, they are a fair bit softer

okay, so maybe thats why the previous owner got them then?

what do you reckon i should do then to lift it? get the appropriate king springs + spacers?
or maybe go for 2L or GV springs to get even more lift? still want a fairly nice ride tho...

dont you run the stock gv springs? what are they like?

Kings might list em as stock replacement for a LWB

I cant remember what I have now, some monster rear springs out of a bin and lifted GV fronts and spacers in the front, its probably a bit stiff for anyone that hasn't owned more minis than any other car

i ran king springs all round with spacers 15mm from and 30mm rear found the front to be a bit stiff off road and the rear didn't flex as good so i put the 30mm spacers in the front with the standard springs and 15mm in the back with the kings i like the setup now. to get it level may have to cut a whisker off the front springs.

not meaning to hi jack your thread larry but i've got kings in the front of my swb and it flexes like a corolla :crazy:
there just too hard. they'd probably alright if i had a steel bar, winch, dual batterys etc, but i dont.

what are the softest springs available?

no worries, i heard corolla's have hecktic flex :P
not too shure about softest ones avalible.. you can look up your part number in the catalogue and see if you have the right springs, you could have the 1.6 lwb springs by accident, which are the same as the 2L swb springs.. not too sure, have a look anyway if your interested

ive ordered medium spring rate from dobinsons, should have them in by this time next week (latest), will tell how i go in my build thread :)

yeh they are the right Part number for that car. kings are just hard.

i've heard alot of good things about the dobinsons, whats it costing you for the set?

oh right sweeet, kinda glad i didnt go kings then, almost did every afternoon this week :P

theyre costing exact same as kings, 165 per end. direct from the sydney office. have to get shipped down from brissy tho, so should be in monday or tuesday :D

yeah glad i went dobos :)

dunno what im gunna do with these spacers now tho :p probs run them in the back and get some 15mms for the front or something
