hi guys. need to get a clutch for my 1.3 sierra. what one do you guys use. will a standard one be good enough or should i get one abit stronger?

been looking at the one off suzisport online website for $250 delivered. they say theyve used it on their cars with 3 times the power of the standard 1.3.

so just wondering if i should get standard or a suzisport one. coz i am broke as. only got like $300 and gotta get clutch and a headgasket.

car is a swb sierra with 31s and 6.5 reduction gears

From what I have read a std clutch would be fine. You would only need a HD clutch if your towing or got a turbo?

someone else with knowledge will chime in soon :D

Standard suzuki genuine clutch.

If you go aftermarket, exeddy seem quite good.

Your car has a stock motor and deep gearing - there's no need for a HD clutch - you aren't putting more load on it than stock.

Don't get a cheap korean clutch. I have one atm that I got for free to get me out of trouble for a couple of months till i have the coin to replace the ring gear, starter gear and clutch. (it will be in about 6 months time). The clutch is even more useless then tits on a bull, it slips like shit just getting out of the driveway and gets a good burning smell when it get thrashed :D
I had an excedy in before this and recon they are great. It pulled out heaps of trees (which killed the original clutch that came with the car) and got an absolute flogging :D I will be replacing the crappy korean one with the excedy safari heavy duty one cause i know it will take the punishment i throw at my clutch
