hi guys. can make up my mind weather i should stay eith my 1.3 thats ment to be rebuilt but it blew headgasket recently or do a engine conversion.
its got 6.5 reduction gears i believe. will the 1.3 have enough power for any tracks with them gears. mainly worried about offroad performance but also abit of on road to get to further away tracks
will a properly running 1.3 with 31 inch tyres be ok to drive from northside of brisbane to the further away tracks where you camp? dunno about hills and stuff.
reason i ask is coz my carby was stuffed when i got it so never got a good idea of it. sometimes it was ok.
am thinking i should just do the head gasket in this one. would it have done any damage from driving it with blown head gasket? not sure about these motors in regards to that. i didnt know it was blown till i got home and my temperature guage wasnt hooled up.
31's with 6.5s and a stock motor will be fine. Obviously a 1.6 has more torque and power than a 1.3, but the gearing you have will work fine with a 1.3...
