Mite be usefull for some one wanting to swap dashes. As this swap uses the NT surround, you will loose your engine check light and seat belt light.

If you are doing this swap into a NT, with a NT harness you may need to confirm it will work against a wiring diagram. As there are minor differences to the clusters.
Looking at the front the WT cluster looks larger than the NT. Essentially the surround is the only difference.
First remove the surrounds from both clusters. The NT surround pulls off when its removed from the dash, followed by a further two screws to hold the perspex cover on. The WT has 8 screws on the back to remove. When you compare the two, the WT has extra mounting holes all around, but other than those the main body of the cluster is the same.
Next step is to grab the NT perspex cover and sit it on the WT cluster. The two screw holes for mounting the perspex will line up. Look around the outside, and take note of the 4 screw holes that it lines up. You will need to keep these when you trim the excess ones down.
Now its time to start trimming. I used a hacksaw blade and a hot knife. A dremel, small hand saw or angle grinder could be used here. You can see where i have trimmed here. The bottom mounting holes on the WT have extra plastic behind them for added strength, and will interfier with the NT dash.
Swapping the light panels will allow you to keep you check engine and seatbelt lights. Remove the two light bars and then remove each light panel. The WT panel is sitting on two pins, the NT is glued down, but with its age pops out pretty easy.
Get the two panels, and hold them face to face upto a light source. Line indicators up, make sure you have the 4WD light on the same end. The WT panel sticks out around 10mm on each side, trim this off with some scissors.
Then stick the WT panel down into the NT light bar, i used a drop of superglue in each corner. Make sure its the right way up.
Once thats complete you ready to reassemble eveything. I gave the NT perspex a clean up, but it has a crack in it and i will find a good condition replacment at some time. Place the perspex onto the WT cluster and insert the two screws, followed by the light bar whice is held down with another two screws. Again the perspex was shagged on my light bar, so i left it off for now. Then sit the NT surround over t and it should bolt up to your dash now.
This is the differance between the light bars. WT top, NT bottom.
There is other ways of doing this. You could swap all the internals from the WT cluster into the NT, or you could even try swap the gauge backing panels. But my way there was less chance of breaking the gauge mechanisms.
