Had the Jimny serviced last Monday, walking past it today and I noticed an oil patch on the cement below the car. Quick crawl underneath and there is oil weeping past the bung... Bugger, have to take it back - again!

Last time they read the trip meter as the odometer and wrote down 23000 instead of 12000, how can the trip be higher than the odo? It was the decimal, the trip was really 2300.0

Plonkers...

Lucky I found the oil leak now and not half way across the Nullabor

You had the car serviced right? you sure it's not from where they have filled it up? maybe even check that it's been tightened properly.

96coily thought mine was leaking when he was driving behind me, but like lockie666 says, it might just be some residue left over from the service - mines the same - the pumpkin had oil on it so the mud isnt sticking to where it dripped, which makes it look like its leaking.

nah, i reckon its leaking, the oil spot on the driveway was fresh, wasn't there yesterday, there were streaks and drops still forming. I live on a bit of a hill and today the car was parked on a bit of the slope instead of the flat.

Will see what they say tomorrow.

maybe just see if its tight... give it a little nip with a 10mm socket.

personally i would be more worried about future warranty claims if they have incorrectly stamped ya owners handbook.

Exactly! I got them to print off an updated receipt with the correct km on it and they signed the log book change. What can you do...

Im not sure about the jimny plug but alot of other cars have a washer to help create a seal. These are the sierra ones

Try to aviod the felt ones if you can because they can weep a little.
