im prety sure its the water pump lol im still learning about cars lol. im used to dirtbikes hahah.

its on the front left side of the engine (1.3litre) when ur standing infront of the car looking at the engine about 10-15 cms behind the left edge of the radiator. im thinking i should probably just be able to jack that side of the car up. hopfully and quickly change like u said. i just filled it up with coolant :(

Won't be much pressure in the lines and the sender is pretty much neally the highest point so it might drible out.
Nothing a finger can fix

take your radiator cap off to release any pressure then put it back on before you remove the sender .
(putting it back on will slow the coolant down being released)
also put a bit of thread tape on the new sender

Do it when cold, you will lose bugger all, be quick, and a few drops, no more will leak out.

There will be no pressure inside the water column, and also the whole thing is sealed, so a 1/4bsp ( I think) hole should be able to stay open an hour without any significant leakage.

I did mine that way, only prob was an air lock formed in cooling system. Running engine with rad cap off for a while fixed that.
