Anyone know where I can get a single threaded eye bolt such as this? I need one to lock my mixer ring and air box cap to my throttle body. Specs needed - 3 to 4 mm thread, 7 cm long but can cut length to suit. Eye size can be worked around No luck at two bolt shops I went to... where else could I try? |

You could try a bearing supply place and just get a female rod end in the size you need then screw in the required length bolt or threaded rod |

You can get eye bolts separate to thread, just screw it on and weld it (or lock it with a locknut underneath) Or just get some threaded rod and a bit of plate with an eye in it and weld the eye plate on the end? |

You can get pretty similar at BCF, they are rated as well |

I need the eye bolt on one end to use as an anchor point, nothing that can rattle loose as it'll be virtually on top of the TB butterfly. I could get it welded I guess, but i'll try track down the part as seen above first. |

http://www.fastenersales.com.au/allthre ... -1115.html M4 stainless rod 1 metre $3.96 + freight Or go round and find some stainless wire they use for decking and grab the turnbuckle of that. Uncrew the threaded part from the turnbuckle and tada freebie |

you need... - the eyelet - the threaded rod - nut to suit threaded rod. Wind the nut onto the thread, dob the end of the thread with locktight, wind the eyelet on as far as it will go. Then tighten the nut back into the eyelet, it will not come undone. and be your easiest option. also for down the track if you for some reason need to replace it things will be easier to find. |
