They do fit. But only in one spot. There is FA wiggle room. I have seen one in the flesh.
VERY tight fit though, so you may have to get creative!

Im just in the middle of doin the conversion and I've been offered a 4agze motor for $600 does anyone know if it will fit as easy as the standard 4age or will I have issues with the intake manifold and room |

It's in pieces the guy was rebuilding it but lost interest and put some stupidly big motor in instead and needs to get rid of it |

Buy it, rebuild it, dump it in and have some fun. The 4AGZE motors are nutz in a sierra, just look at the tripptarka blue one on youtube, that thing is off tap. My 20V + auto combo is not as crazy as the 4agze + manual combo but is super driveable. Like fatzook said there isn't a lot of room to fit them and its not a straightforward swap but it insanely good fun once it's done. I have a 16 valve and t50 manual box and everything else for the swap I have just been offered this so it won't be that much more expensive |

There are always little extras that add up. The big thing will be moving the transfer back about 100mm then shortening and lengthening drive shafts. Then you will have to make up a new jack shaft, it will basically be just 2 unis end to end |

If you're handy with the welder and fabrication and have about $3-4K spare....definatelly give it a go You'll need custom engine and gearbox mounts....from memory the shifter will need to be moved backwards....tailshaft will probably need to be custom made etc I thought about doing this conversion when i saw the youtube vids but if you want bang for you money...get the G16 or the GTi engine slotetted in...much cheaper and easier to re-licence as with the 4AGZE you will definatelly need an engineer to sign off which could cost $1000 alone Good luck either way

thats not how it works in QLD in QLD we have to get a mod plate for any non standard engine swap. and its only about $100 per plate
