could be full of dirt or the idle solenoid could be stuffed
best to give it a tune and clean the carby out to begin with, always ahrder with a new car cause you dont know the history of the problem

Ain't that the truth. Just bought a car with a full service history that has been serviced at the Suzuki dealer all it's life. Decided to give it a major service anyway. So far I've repaired stuffed rear axle bearings, rear brake shoes and wheel cylinders, water pump, radiator, timing belt, water pump & air con belts and fixed an air leak at the carby. Now I remember why I only trust myself to repair my cars
In your case, it does sound like a carby problem. Remove the cover over the top of the carby, give it a rev and put you hand or a rag over the top of the carby to creat a vacuum. Just before the engine stalls, remove your hand and let it rev again. Return to idle. If it's just a bit of crap in the carby, often you'll find that will fix the problem. If it's more than just a bit, you'll have to strip it down.

Dealers are great for doing half arsed jobs. More than a few times I have had to do partial rebuilds on cars that have been looked after by dealers all their lives. And they really know how to charge too!!
