how ya going fellas,

since i have put standard springs back in the zook i have started thinking of going down to 33s for the pure fact that my 35s are scrubing hard under full flex and gearing..
i dont want to cut the beast up as i just painted it..
i dont want to put the lifted springs back in as the standard springs flex and ride sooo much better
also i dont want to put bigger bump stops in as it will minimise up travell..


im i crazy!!

on sierra axels i think 33's are as big as you should go but there are a few people running 34 + on there cars with some guard triming.

Well seen as his on toys 33s should be good!
Ive just stepped up from 33s to 35s and it was a bigger job than I thought.
The trial set of 35s (actual 35) fit easy with spoa flat springs and flare lift (no virtual lift).
But when I bought 35 claws they are wider with big side lugs that caused a problem.
I spaced the bumpstops so I have about 1 1/2" up but this helps to lever the other side down.
Then I cut till they fit which ended up being from the front edge of the nose to the centre of the wheel arch but this was only because of the ruf.
Dont have pics yet sorry but I think it was worth it more clearence of road and also helps on road revs.

33's on a zook are perfect....even more so with zook diffs....

keep the 35's norm and work around them. You have them. They look tough

The guard cutting will be ok
Just be gentle. :lol:

With a oxy and a grinder and a welder :twisted:

You just need to extend the wheelbase alittle if it hasnt been done already..i think it hasnt..

35's on a zook OMG! I'd like to see some pics of that before you downgrade to 33's which Id also like to see..lol

Forgot to add a longer wheelbase will make the 35s more livable, Im at 96" now and with the wb and width of toy diffs 35s are great.
Stock swb might be a little too short!!
I think I saw you were changing springs?
Ruf will more your front diff forward not sure how far back you can go with the rear as the diff will hit the tank.
Changing the wb is the easy bit, cutting the guards to look nice and still fit the tyres thats the tricky bit. Then you have too patch it all up.
But well worth it I think.
