well after talking to 2 separate repco stores who only have a plastic equivalent, i called suzistore again to check what they'd have fitted in the conversion and sent the pics... Brian said its definitely an SJ80 fuel filter - just that Repco's parts numbering is crap. So all sorted =) Its an SJ80 one that you can't buy at repco, but can buy at veale. |

If SJ80 = coily then yeah it is that looks like the thing that come off my brothers. Poofter of a thing to get out. I think he end up replacing it with one in the engine bay. |

really? mines easy... its one bracket with 1 bolt through it.. ie: undo 1 bolt and out it comes (of course you need to undo the hose clamps on the fuel lines too). and yes - SJ80 = coily... SJ70 = WT Leafy. |

Yeah. I didn't help him but it took him like 2 hours ... I think he had trouble getting the hoses off and got fuel in his eye |

alien wrote: Anyone know wtf this came out of?? This pictures above are of a OE coily sierra/SJ80 fuel filter. The top 90 degree bent pipe close to the ring goes towards the engine. I was once told by a Suzuki shop the coily filter had a water trap. Ryco don't list a direct replacement but a Ryco Z549 is a close fit (note the bends in the pipes aren't the same but the hose should still fit) and a Z549 equivalent is what 4WD_Products supplied me with. http://www.rycofilters.com.au/catalogue/part/part/z594 The Z549 is also the Ryco catlogue listed part for a J18 powered Baleno. |
