ive just bought a 99 v6 vitara i want to lift it 3inch or so......... it has big tyres fitted and they are very close to guards and rub very slighly at full lock
what sort of price will this set me back and who is recomended in perth
or is it easy to fit then just get a wheel alignment after?

Body lift, is the best way to clear big tyre's if you don't want to cut the guards to much.

Most places in Australia, only do a 35 to 50mm suspension lift kit.. Calmini would do a 3in kit from the USA... but... anything over 2in/50mm, is not legal in OZ... suspension kits will set you back anywhere from $850 to $1300... have a look on ebay...

i dont really rate airbags personaly
people have driven cars for 100 years + truth of the matter is we will have accidends and people will die most accidends a air bag wont stop you dieing and they cost so much to fix when they break

Well, not to hijack here but,
People are, in general, idiots. You sir are certainly no exception to this.
They get themselves in all sorts of stupid situations, airbags work very well in many of them.

I witnessed a guy in a commodore slam into the side of an older magna at 80kph+ (in a 50 zone) recently in Melbourne, he got some rash on his face and was dazed for a few seconds, magna guy went to hospital.

Insurance covers the "expensive" bits.

Anything that doesn't have an airbag that can do more than 50kph should have a 4 point harness (or two) IMHO.

That's nonsense.

Crash statistics prove that you are wrong, which is why airbags are a legal requirement now.

It's not the crash that kills you, it's the sudden stop. The airbag slows the sudden stop so your brain doesn't get liquidised when your head hits the pillar/steering wheel/whatever.

Anyway - Body lift, bumpstop spacers and cut guards to fit tyres. Suspension lift for compression travel to improve high speed performance and to recover compression travel lost to bumpstop spacing.

ive been looking at theCALMINI 2.5" SUSPENSION SYSTEM
are these good does anyone sell them in oz?
is there any comparable kits to this i should look at?
