hey guys, i was wondering if you could help me. my 89 model sierra has heavy steering and wont return to centre when turning both directions

Any ideas what the problem might be??

theres a shock absorber looking thing on the front of the car attached to the steering - take it off and go for a drive...

i dont run mine anymore either =)

could be about ten things between the steering wheel and wheels

i have the same sort of problem isnt the shock in the front a steering stabilizer wouldnt it be better to have that.

steering dampner... meh =) just helps with bump steer really.
