did a search but couldnt find my answer

where is the best spot to put an aftermarket oil temp sender for an aftermarket gauge on a sierra 1.3

also what about the water temp sender?

both are electronic Autometer gauges with NPT fittings

I just screwed my water temp sensor into the stock sensor hole. Why bother having 2 water temp gauges :?

Or you can get an adaptor to go in the radiator hose, however I struggled to find one small enough for a zook hose.

You can get an adaptor to go between the oil filter and block to allow for the sensor.

Can find these adaptors here (and probably every other performance parts supplier)

If you can get a sensor that fits the stock sensor hole use it - if you use an adapter that goes in the radiator hose, leave the stock gauge in place - the new gauge will not indicate the engine temperature until the thermostat opens and a thermostat which fails closed may result in the engine overheating with no indication on the gauge.
