Hey guys

Getting my car ready for rego on Tuesday n my brake lights have stopped working, they were working last week before I went wheeling n now they r dead, ive checked the fuses all ok, check to make sure the switch on pedal still was connected n it's all ok, I m really unsure wat to check next any ideas on what to try next or look for (Royce please help)

Might be a stupid question, but have you checked your globes... the next thing to do, would be to check if you are getting 12volts at the brake lights, if not, you have a broken wire, if yes, then earth/negative wire has come off somewhere... :wink:

check the fuse with a test light?

its pretty easy, check you have power (with a test light) on one side of the brake light switch and then on the other when you press the brake

if you do move to the rear and see if you have power (and earth) in the socket

witch fuse is the lightes? both our zooks dont have the cover!

fuse is fine. switch under dash works and has power. but no power at lights. earth is fine and parks work!

is there power coming out of the switch when you press the pedal?

I bridged the terminals on the wire side of plug( to lights ) n no luck any ideas

Where do ur wires go near tail lights? Check connectors might be wet, muddy

turned out to be a dicky power suply to the switch. due to it being due for rego tomrow i ran a new one for the aux fuse box. i will fix the old one when we get time!
