hey guys i am getting a ruf conversion done on my car in the next month or two but i have a few questions and i dont think that they have been covered in the past.

Q1. I have a caved in cross memeber at the front so i am getting this replaved at the same time. I thought the best way to do this would be to find a suzuki sierra chassis and cut the front section off it (for argument sake say 400mm of it) and then cut 350mm off mine. Spread the chassis rails to proper possitioning then weld on new bit and fish plate it. what would be some complications in doing it this way? (i can think of steering box off the top of my head)

Q2. I'm looking for 3 inch's of lift over all so i was looking around on L.R.O.R, and i found some ome 1.5inch lift rear springs for the front and some trail tough 3 inch springs for the bum, can any of yous in the know tell me if this would be a good descision or a really shitty one?

Getting this work done is not a worry as i might just be in the know with someone who is a qulified chassis modifier thingo, and the work can get engineered straight away.

Any hints would be greatly appreciatted thanks, Aaron

Swapping out the front section of chassis will cause you issues with the chassis number if your not careful..
How bad is the chassis from the damage to the cross member? Best bet would be replace the rail if the chassis is reasonably straight..

As for springs, 3inch units are probably going to have pretty crap flex as stock, and will need some leaves pulled to soften em up. Maybe run some EFS packs in the rear with old man emu up front.. There is alot of choice out there for spring packs..
