Hi i'm about to undertake this conversion and would love some advice from people that have done it before. I have a 89 jx Sierra and a 98 Gti G13b motor + ecu + wiring loom + coil + fuel pump. I've done a some reading on the net and reckon i'll give this a shot.

My main concern is doing the wiring. If anyone has done it or knows someone who does i'd would be keen to hear opinions and refferals

What condition is your wiring loom in? That's probably the biggest factor. Get yourself a GTi wiring diagram and you'll be good to go.

How are you going about getting clearance of the distributor and firewall BTW?

Don't really know what i'm looking for but seems all there. I've seen the angle drive kit from suzisport. That looks to be my last option. Other ones i've seen are people cutting the firewall. What other options are there?

i think joeblow may have been toying around with angle drives... might be an idea to hit him up a little.

lol thats rough. Is it easier to use the stock ecu or go with an aftermarket one like a microtech?

I saw somewhere people had turned some kind of dissy into a crank angle sensor and run 4 coils, that will get you round the firewall problem

you mean like mine its off a 5afe corolla motor but i used a michrotech also.

If you knew a half way decent fitter & turner you could have them try to adapt a g13 dizzy housing

yeah i have to have a good look at it first. And find some spare space to put the old g13a down.

suzi sport have an angle drive kit for them on the website ($395 for it)
