you wont need lockers.
the teletrack is easy except for the river crossings.
snokel is a nice addition
If you want harder wheeling while your up there make sure you do the cob and co track from maytown to laura
other wise just make sure your car is maintained and you'll be fine

Add rain and turn those hours into days!!
Its not uncommon for some of the tracks we do at home to only travel ~5km in a whole day. There's some great stuff up there!

At the moment we are heading out of Carins up palm cove, mossman, wonga, cape tribulation, and along the CREB track and then to roaring Meg falls. That's what we have so far.

the Frenchmans track is fun, make sure you have a winch.
there are heaps of good tracks up there.
My family and I went up there this year at the end of June.
It was a great trip.

My parents just got back from the cape in the patrol. You need a very very reliable vehicle, suspension has to be in tip top condition and work well other wise the corrugations will rip the vehicle apart.
A snorkel is deffo recommended as well as a very descent air filter system (bring spares). The fine red dust is a killer up there.
