hey guys pulled the rust catcher off now i need to paint it.

was thinking black, Would any old black spray can do the job.

im going to flap disc the surface rust off mask off the car and spray. Sliders will cover this area soon so it can look crap. i have some cans of enamel matt black can i use this?

i use black rust guard on my car (it helps its black to start with)... you can buy in in white and a few other colours also. it tends to hold its gloss for about 1 year being parked out in the elements all the time then fade back to a satin finish... still, even if you had to scuff it a little and repaint each year or two isnt that bad, plus its actively protecting from rust.
